Several of my favorite wines in the world come from Portugal’s Douro Valley, which is famous for growing grapes for Port, but is increasingly associated with excellent, well-balanced dry red wines as well. I visited the valley last year and have been stocking up on some of my favourites.
This tasting will feature eight good and great Douro Valley reds and finish with a couple of Ports.
The focus will be on local grape varieties including Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz but will also include a couple of great wines from international grape varieties. The wine will be paired with plenty of good, healthy food.
I’d be delighted if you could take part!
P.S. The address for the tasting comes in the registration confirmation email. It is easily accessible via public transport using the Tram #8 (former #94) and Bus #366 lines. If you drive, there is generally plenty of free parking available nearby. Please drink and drive responsibly!
