Join us from your very own cosy home for a virtual Valentine’s Day wine tasting. Grab your love, friend, or anyone from your quaranTEAM for an hour of wine tasting and music!
Wine and pizzas are sent to your home and you will join the event via your computer or phone. A wine sommelier will teach you about the wines, you’ll learn wine etiquette, and there will be love songs performed for your entertainment!
Two Chicago Deep Dish pizzas or thin crust pizzas are included in the “Wine Tasting & Pizza for 2″ and if you are not drinking, you can order a just”Pizza for 2” ticket. One adorable pizza is heart shaped! You will be able to choose your pizza types at check out. Gluten free options available!
There is also a basic ticket so you can opt just to view the tasting and music.
There are Two bottles of wine in the “Wine Tasting & Pizza for 2” and “Wine Tasting for 2” package. Wine Types & Descriptions:
Hillinger Secco Brut Rosé NV (Austria)- Made in a dry prosecco style, this is a cult favorite sparkler. Delightful, creamy strawberry, a hint of mineral, & rich bubbles! With his pink ribbon bubbly, he also donates a portion of proceeds to various breast cancer research groups. Cheers to that! Use this pretty pink sipper to greet your guests & toast to the ones you love.
2018 Il Palazzone Rosso del Palazzone (Italy)- Hailing from the La Casina Girasole vineyard in the south of Chianti Classico, brothers Alessandro and Andrea Sderci are making some seriously good juice. Their vineyards were planted in the early 1970s but have recently been ‘renewed’ by grafting select Sangiovese clones onto the old rootstock. Rather than labeling this ‘Chianti Classico’ they decided to really let the relatively young fruit shine, blending together 95% Sangiovese and 5% of Canaiolo and Colorino. It’s lighter than you typically see in Chianti and oh boy is it tasty! It’s a true crowd pleaser full of bright and juicy morello cherries, tart raspberries, overripe plums, and savory herbs like sage and thyme. It’s mouthwatering and backed up by notes of tobacco, earthy and drying tannins, and a luscious finish. Pair with Chicago pizza, or a night on the couch with your dog and Grey’s Anatomy reruns.

*Wine and Pizza must be ordered by February 7 to allow time for shipping. Shipping delays may occur due to weather or the pandemic. *There is a local pickup option for wine in Raleigh, NC.
This event supports small local businesses! Wine comes from Short Walk Wines in Raleigh, NC and pizzas are shipped from Pizano’s in Chicago, IL (Oprah’s favorite thin crust pizza)!
