Fortified wines are made in a very diverse range of styles; red, white and rosé; dry to sweet; and youthful and aromatic to fully developed and oxidative. With winter well and truly taken hold, we’ll dig into the wonderful world of Fortified Wines. These oft-forgotten styles of wine include Port, Sherry, Madeira, Rutherglen Muscat have an incredibly interesting and long history. We’ll get into the stories behind these wine styles, as well as how each is made and how this impacts flavour. These wines are always perfect for the colder months, so come on in from the cold and try some!
Join United Cellars host and head buyer Mark Faber at our on-site Tasting Room in Sydney’s Woolloomooloo (140 William Street) at 6:30pm on Tuesday 2 August 2022. It promises to be a superb soirée!
United Cellars Tuesday Tutorials take place on the first Tuesday of every month in the Tasting Room of our Woolloomooloo headquarters. On these relaxed, informal evenings, we share the stories behind the regions, the varietals, the wines, and the winemakers. What’s more, we enjoy some delicious wines – carefully curated from our United Cellars stock. These nights are about enjoying great wine in great company, from the newly wine-curious to vino aficionados. Plus, no two Tuesday Tutorials are every the same, so you can keep coming back! If you like wine as much as we do, be sure to add these drink dates to your diary!
