This month, we’ll discuss the art of blending. Throughout wines history, grapes have been blended for a variety of reasons. Find out why!

It’s back! Due to popular demand, 2020 sees the return of Tuesday Tutorial series of wine events. Through 2019 we shared stories and learnt so much about how wine is made and why it tastes like it does, and we’re looking forward to making 2020 even bigger and better.

This month, we’ll discuss the art of blending. Throughout the history of wine, grapes have been blended for a variety of reasons. Sometimes it’s a finance issue, other times the blend is significantly better than each individual part. We’ll take you back to the origins of blending wine in Georgia where they blend several hundred varieties together! We’ll talk about the often controversial blending of red and white grapes, and go into the concept of ‘less is more’. We’ll be having a bit of fun blending our own wines to see what a difference blending can make, and that sometimes blending wine can be the most difficult (and important!) part of winemaking.

So, join us for the first Tuesday of the month for Tuesday Tutorials- Come and join us for a drink!
