The region of Bordeaux in the south-west of France needs little introduction. Perhaps the best-known wine region across the globe, it produces wines famous for their ability to age gracefully; wines of structure, depth and complexity. From the Left Bank, Cabernet-dominant appellations of Pauillac, St-Estephe and Margaux, to the Right Bank, Merlot-dominant appellations of Pomerol and St-Emilion, the quality and diversity of these wines is exceptional.
Not only have we put together a stunning collection of the best examples of Bordeaux for your tasting pleasure, to guide you through the list, your host for the evening will be our resident, UK-based, Master of Wine Alistair Cooper. In the Private Dining Room at The Gidley, Alistair will present the wines across four brackets, to be enjoyed alongside a four course menu.
With all wines possessing some age, and with key vintages on pour, this is an event that highlights the premium experience that the wines of Bordeaux can deliver.
Menu and wine list to be announced closer to the date.
