Pressoir.wine presents: THIRST Wine Classes

We kick things off this July by taking a deep dive into discussing our favorite French grape varieties.

Edouard Bourgeois and Raj Vaidya will lead a series of interactive classes to heighten your understanding of these iconic grape varieties. Learn the grapes’ distinct characteristics, the classic styles found in different regions around the world and the benchmark regions of France that define the standard. We will taste some great examples of the varieties and encourage you to open and taste other examples from your cellars to discuss with us during the class.

The first THIRST class will focus on Pinot Noir (7/14), the finnicky yet ethereal red grape whose spiritual homeland is Burgundy but which is now grown in cool climates around the world.

In the following weeks we will move to Syrah (7/21) – classically from the Northern Rhône but thriving in Australia (as Shiraz) and California, Cabernet Sauvignon (7/28) – the most widely-planted red grape in the world, most notably in right-bank Bordeaux, Napa, and Tuscany, and Chardonnay (8/4) – a chameleon of a white grape that excels in many different terroirs.

Quench your THIRST with Pressoir.wine!
