The Sydney Connection curates dining walks around our favourite inner city precincts of Surry Hills Darlinghurst and Potts Point. Accompanied by a well-connected guide, our walks are aimed at visitors and Sydneysiders who want to go ‘where the locals go’ for inspiring food, good service and cool interiors.

We take bookings for between 1 – 10 Guests per booking and visit 3 venues on each walk. Enjoying a different course at each venue accompanied by matching wine at the first two venues.

Our Potts Point dining walk starts at Bang Tang, a slice of South East Asia in Potts Point.

Is the starting point for each dining walk near public transport? Yes all of our starting points are no more than a 10 minute walk from a train station or bus stop.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event? Because we are visiting licensed drinking establishments our wine & dine with a local walks are only for 18+ aged guests. Unless otherwise negociated prior to booking.

What if we want to go on a Potts Point Dining Walk on another night of the week?

Unfortunately this is not possible for the 3 course option. You would need to book a private dining walk with the four course option to go on a Darlinghurst walk on another night.

Are you able to cater for special dietary needs? Yes as long as you tick the appropriate box in the bookings form we are able to cater for most dietary requests including: vegetarian, allergies, gluten intolerance and dairy intolerance.

Are you able to create a walk suitable for disabled guests? Certainly – as long you let us know in advance – we can choose flat terrain and easy acess venues for disabled guests. Just be mindful that the distance between venues can be between 5 -15 minutes of travel so guest will need to be able to manage this distance comfortably especially if part of a larger group.

What should I wear? Although Sydney is a casual & relaxed city we encourage our guests to dress for dinner as we will be dining in some pretty trendy places.

What shoes should I wear? Leave the Lady Gaga heels at home as we will be walking between venues so comfy shoes are best!

What is included in the booking price?

A three course set-menu with accompanying beverages for the first two courses
Any extra beverages – alcoholic or non-alcoholic – need to paid for separately from the bill.
The wonderful company of your local guide who tells fabulous stories and anecdotes about the restaurants, people and precinct.

What is the difference between a group and a private booking?

Group bookings include all of the above and other travelers may join the group with a maximum of ten guests per group. You will need to meet us at the first venue.

Private bookings are only for you and your crew. We will throw in the option of an Uber pick-up from your inner city hotel and a local food gift for each person at the end of the evening.
