Holiday Night with the Knights
Join guest sommelier, Dr. Victor McCrary, and Knights of Columbus Columbia Council 7559 for a virtual Holiday Wine Tasting fundraiser. This is the second in a series of virtual wine tasting fundraisers hosted by the Columbia Council to raise money to assist disadvantaged individuals and communities.
Money raised will be divided equally between the Columbia Council’s charity fund and the Maryland Howard County Division of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians (LAOH).
LAOH will support Columbia Community Care, a grassroots group which began in March 2020 in response to the growing needs of people who are struggling in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis.
The Columbia Council will use its share of the proceeds for the council’s charity fund which for 40 years has provided financial and volunteer support to many organizations in Howard County and elsewhere including the Columbia Pregnancy Center, the Boy Scouts, the St. Vincent de Paul Society, the Tanzanian Children’s Project, St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church , and several others.
Place your order today to reserve your Holiday Cheer Package which includes three bottles of holiday wines, a meat and cheese gift package, homemade cookies, a wine scorecard, and two complimentary wine glasses.
Pick-up your package on Saturday, December 12 from 8 -11 a.m. at the Wilde Lake Interfaith Center Parking Lot (10431 Twin Rivers Road, Columbia, MD 21044). Be sure to wear your face mask and bring your ID and a printed copy of your ticket receipt. You must be at least 21 years of age to pick up a package.
You will receive the logon information to the virtual wine tasting in your Holiday Cheer Gift Bag as well an email invite which will be emailed two days before the event. Log onto Zoom on Saturday, December 12 at 6:50 p.m. for the virtual wine tasting.
There will be opportunities to bid on several special gift baskets, participate in a 50/50 raffle (tickets can be purchased online), and be eligible for door prizes. Raffle tickets will also be available for purchase at the time of package pick-up, so bring your credit card, checkbook, or cash.
