Join us to learn about the region, wine styles, and techniques that make it so revered. We will help you to demystify Burgundy!

When I first started my journey into the world of wine, Burgundy intimidated me. With a viticulture history dating back to the fifth century, it is considered one of the world’s premium wine regions and embodies the phrase “old world.” For a relatively small area of France, it has a multitude of villages and appellations as well as strict rules and regulations. I thought the bottles were reserved for those much more sophisticated than me. However, as I’ve learned more about wine, I’ve come to love it.

Join Svetlana and I for a Virtual Wine Tasting where we will demystify Burgundy! We will break down the regions, styles, and techniques that make it so revered. We’ve selected bottles that perfectly represent the elegance of the region while still offering tremendous value.

Domain Guegen Chablis 2017, France $31.99

This producer is known for crafting beautifully balanced wines that showcase the terroir of the region. Fresh clean acidity and delicate flavors of stone fruit and florals are balanced by a rich, creamy texture. 90 Points.

Domaine de l’Ecette “Les Gaudoirs” Rully Blanc 2018, France $26.99

Aromas of green apple and pear greet you on the nose. On the palate, refreshing acidity and minerality create elegance. A touch of oak adds a hint of texture and spice on the finish.

Domaine de l’Ecette Bourgogne Rouge 2017, France $23.99

Youthful and juicy with notes of ripe red cherry, raspberry, and touches of blueberry. Young bright tannins make for a lively mouthfeel that finishes with a burst of spice.

Domaine de l’Ecette Les Gaudoirs Rully Rouge 2017, France $29.99

Notes of dark berries give way to layers of earth, smoke, and spice. Harmonious and balanced structure with smooth and delicate tannins. A beautiful, pure representation of Burgundian Pinot Noir and old-world technique.
